Carters Custom Caps Website Redesign
Introduction/Objective: The goal of the Carters Custom Caps website redesign project was to create an attractive and user-friendly website that effectively communicated the brand identity while showcasing the custom truck and auto accessories services and products. The primary objective was to enhance online visibility and differentiate Carters Custom Caps from competitors in the market. Strategy/Methodology: I started the project by creating wireframes and a sitemap design, which served as visual guides to represent the skeletal structure of the website. Through extensive industry research, analysis of the original website, and direct engagement with clients, I meticulously crafted the information architecture. This involved gathering and organizing similar content, creating cohesive messaging, and compelling information. The design process involved integrating key elements such as colour schemes, branding guidelines, fonts, and images. I used WordPress Builder to translate the wireframes into a fully functional website. To optimize user experience, I gave careful consideration to grid placement, button functionality, scalable images, and legible fonts, ensuring clarity across various device sizes. Micro-interactions and dynamic scrolling were incorporated to capture the audience's attention and encourage exploration of the content. In the final phase, I conducted rigorous testing to guarantee optimal results. Emphasis was placed on accessibility, employing an accessibility checker to identify and provide clear instructions for resolving any issues, ensuring an inclusive and user-friendly experience for visitors. Results/Impact: The successful outcome of the Carters Custom Caps website redesign project garnered satisfaction from the client. The new website not only attracted more audience but also effectively established a distinctive brand identity for Carters Custom Caps in a competitive market.
