Animated Character
Introduction/Objective: For my website, I embarked on a project called Animated Character, where I created a customized 404-error page featuring an animated character. The idea was to design a page that would entertain my website visitors whenever they encountered an error page. Strategy/Methodology: To start, I developed a storyboard that involved a robot holding 404 number balloons that attempted to float out of the page. However, the balloons kept bouncing him back until he finally managed to float up, and the action repeated. To achieve this, I used frame animations that allowed for seamless transitions between each action clip. The balloons added a nice touch to the animation, making it look lively and playful. I paid attention to the colour palette and style to ensure that they matched my brand logo and website. The illustrations were designed to showcase various textures, making the overall design more interesting and visually appealing. To draw the illustrations, I used Procreate, which is an intuitive digital illustration app. I then used Adobe Photoshop to create the frame animations and webpage mockups. Results/Impact: Overall, the Animated Character project was a fun and creative way to enhance user experience on my website.
