The Frontline Broadcast Logo & Logo Reveal Redesign
Introduction/Objective: I had the opportunity to rebrand The Frontline Broadcast, a podcast/broadcast group serving as the official media platform for the Powassan Voodoos & North Bay Battalion. The experienced team is passionate about sharing stories about sports in North Bay and the surrounding area. They needed a graphic designer to create a new logo, an animated logo, and motion graphics for their social media. I was lucky enough to be chosen for the project. They wanted two new logos to represent their identity as a sports broadcast and podcast group. Strategy/Methodology: To get a better understanding of their work and broadcasting style, I researched their videos and audio on YouTube and Spotify, and met with the team. I decided to keep some of the original logo elements, such as the color scheme and badge shape. In addition, I included elements like a dynamic swoosh, a hockey puck, and a hockey stick to represent their sports-oriented nature. To emphasize the service and the name, I enlarged the microphone and the text. I used a color scheme of yellow, white, and black, with a light gray for the midtone. The font choice gives a more energetic feel. This logo design is suitable for both digital and print platforms. For the logo reveal, I aimed to create a sense of excitement and competition. I used dynamic liquid motion and interactive animations to catch viewers' attention. The wiggling puck, the popping microphone, and the accompanying swoosh and hockey sticks created an exciting gaming atmosphere. By skillfully transforming different elements, I created a dynamic motion that smoothly transitions between scenes, eventually revealing the broadcast video. The music is well-synced with the motion graphics and conveys great passion. Results/Impact: The logo looks impressive on various platforms, including hats, social media, and websites (North Bay Echo). I successfully completed this project within a short period of time, and it has received positive reviews and comments.
