North Bay Laura Hair Salon Brand Identity & Web Design
Introduction/Objective: I worked on a project called North Bay Laura Hair Salon Web Design to create a website for a newly launched salon. The main objective was to build a visually appealing and user-friendly website while meeting all the client's requirements. Strategy/Methodology: My responsibilities in this project included building, testing, implementing, and hosting all website elements such as virtual design, content management system, multimedia, plugin & third-party application integrations, content migrations, etc. I also created customized layouts and architecture to ensure the website's accessibility and managed the content to provide relevant and informative information to the users. To improve the website's functionality, I performed web page testing and resolved performance issues. Features: I added more interactive features, such as animated videos showcasing various hairstyles and services, and photo carousels exhibiting the salon's welcoming ambience, to enhance the website further. These additions would help users make informed decisions about the salon's services. The website is informative, accessible, and functional, providing an engaging online experience for users. Solution/Contribution: I spent four months working on this project, including logo design, signage, brand guidelines, interior and window poster design, price menu and flyer design, photo and video shooting and editing, as well as website design and development. Furthermore, I also provided content and marketing strategies for future growth. As a result, my client expressed great satisfaction, and her business successfully differentiated itself from competitors in SEO, attracting a larger number of customers. Results/Impact: Overall, designing and implementing the North Bay Laura Hair Salon website was a challenging but rewarding experience. I learned the importance of understanding client needs and translating them into functional and visually appealing designs. Through this project, I honed my skills in graphic design and web design and gained valuable experience in managing projects from start to finish. This website design received an Honourable Mention in the 2023 RGD Student Awards.
